Underwaters (we is ready, we is ready)

Site: “2014 Whitney Biennial,” curated by Anthony Elms, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY.

Underwaters (we is ready, we is ready) is: a laboratory for the exploration of space and the body, two geographies primed for both inquiry and transformation; a testing of the walls of the institution and the limits of a stable, singular point of view; a performance that is an experiment that is a ritual that is a spell (un)casting that is a form of research, utilizing subtle choreographies and introverted virtuosities to communicate across boundaries of the real and the unreal.
